I arrived this year to snow, but not nearly as much as we saw last year. This year, Kasai-san and Osanai-san whisked me by car right to the field site in less than 30 minutes from town. This is what my site looked like on the day following my arrival in Sarufutsu. Much less snow than last year! Oh, the joy! April 22, 2014.
